Course Overview:

This course is for anyone interested in understanding the  fundamental principles of solar PV technologies.

The trainees will learn the various applications of PV systems,  PV cell technology, the various components used in a PV installation, factors affecting the efficiency of a PV system and the ecomonics of PV systems.

After completion of this course, participants will be able to

  • Understand the different applications for PV systems 

  • Understand system types and components used

  • Explain the basic parameters impacting power output of a PV system

  • Paraphrase the economic aspects of PV systems including energy yield, metering options and costs.
